Don't forget Denis Galloway! He shot a scumbag who was POINTING A GUN AT HIS WIFES FACE, and he STILL got charged!!!! The CPC needs to get off theri arses and write up some castle law, NOW. Yeah, on paper we have the right to self defense but the cops and the prosecuters can't seem to get that through their heads so they need it spelled out in black and white for them.

And Brian Knight in Alberta and that guy in Nova Scotia who helped out his next door neighbor and David Chen in Toronto (but I don't think Chen had a gun)
As nice as it is to see the comments, we do realize that this isn't a poll about castle doctrine, right? Not that I'm complaining, just trying to keep things on topic...

I don't know if this falls into this category, but I had a house fire in 2006 my antique guns were confiscated note "Antique" not requiring registration or licensing. well I was forced to get my PAL and Restricted PAL before they would even look at them. I fought until this year to get them back and I did I now own a registered 1853 Webley Bentley Cap and Ball revolver, and I imported a deactivated 1880s Belgium Frontier Army revolver in 2005, the CFC/RCMP lost the deactivation papers so it is now registered. The lady I talked to refuses to budge on the issue claiming I cant prove it is an original Webley made in 1853. whats the sense of having laws if the people responsible for administering them can pick and choose what applies out of the firearms act and what they refuse to believe.

If you mean Lawrie Manzer, who helped his next door neighbor with a shotgun, he's from NB, not NS
