[edit] Criticisms

Removed "What the rationale behind the protest doesn't take into consideration is that - like the army - if there are no local ranges available for police to use, the taxpayer will end up funding them going to an accessible range somewhere else. A half day of work devoted to shooting becomes a day trip out of town at taxpayer expense." from the top section as it was pretty backhanded.

Also changed "Nor have either spoke on the question of whether police will be more or less supportive of civilian gun ownership after gun owners have told them they're not welcome." to be less argumentative.

Both points are valid though. This page should have a section for criticisms, written in a constructive way. Any volunteers? --Hambone 03:38, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

  • You're probably right. Theres been some talk about this CRP thing down here but that section would probably be better written by a Canadian. I sent Dennis an email about it.--Da Boss 04:40, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
  • Good points all around; both sides should be put up. Unfortunately, I have no time for anything these days, but I will try to put something together when I get a chance... --Dennis 20:15, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit] still happening?

Is this protest still going on? I can't find anything about it anywhere other than here?

  • Actually, I'm not sure. I'll do some more digging around on CGN and some other places and see what I can find. --Dennis 23:35, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
  • So do we have any kind of news on this or what? --70.54.5.73 03:30, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
  • As of today, still no news on this. The article will likely have to be updated pretty soon. --Dennis 23:33, 9 August 2010 (EDT)
