A response to Mother Jones’ mistake filled article on John Lott and the Crime Prevention Research Center

by John R. Lott
Crime Prevention Research Center

The altered image above is from a new Mother Jones’ article, which was written to try discrediting John Lott and the Crime Prevention Research Center.

Mother Jones is willing to do anything to push for gun control.  The magazine is very left-leaning and is funded by individuals such as George Soros.  Even academics such as James Alan Fox, who supports gun control, have taken Mother Jones to task for its misleading use of data on guns.

For several years, Mother Jones and John Lott have been having a running feud.  Unable to win the battle of facts, Mother Jones this week tried hitting back in a more personal way. Continue reading »

Just so we don’t forget what Mulcair’s real agenda is.

Don’t trust Mulcair’s “no gun registry” promise

The headline at TB News Watch couldn’t be clearer.

“NDP Leader rules out re-introducing fed long gun registry”

The story went on to say…

“Even though both Thunder Bay MPs were punished for breaking rank with the NDP over abolishing the long gun registry back in 2011, Tom Mulcair says he won’t re-introduce the registry if the NDP forms the next government.

Guns go up, crime goes down

by GunOwnersResource

Now here’s a a neat party game for you to try sometime.  The next time you hear some gun grabbing screwball yammering on about how good gun laws are and how the boogeyman will get us all if we don’t keep (and make more of) them, point them towards the little tidbit that’s duplicated below and then remind them that the US murder rate is careening towards the lowest point that it has seen since the turn of the last century.  Yes, even in places like Detroit and Washington, D.C., the murder rate is heading for the basement.

Astroturf: The Anti-Gunners’ Playing Field

NRA/ILAby Chris W. Cox
Executive Director, NRA-ILA

Gun owners have become all too familiar with two unfortunate facts of life in 21st-century America. First, we know the mainstream media is not interested in reporting the facts when it comes to the Second Amendment. Second, Everytown for Gun Safety’s Michael Bloomberg, and like-minded anti-gunners, will stop at nothing to destroy our freedoms. This alliance of ignorance and deceit employs distortion and even outright lies to pursue the ultimate goal of destroying private gun ownership.

The good news is that a few reporters are unwilling to act as the unquestioning mouthpieces of anti-freedom groups, instead striving to actually report the news instead of pushing an agenda. One good example is Sharyl Attkisson, a former reporter for CBS who resigned after being pressured to back off from stories that could cast the Obama administration in a bad light.
